Glass beads, also known as glass microbeads, are among the most popular and purest mineral, non-metallic abrasives. The dust generated during abrasive cleaning is free of respirable crystalline silica (SiO2) and does not pose a hazard to workers or the environment.Glass beads are reusable abrasives. As a filler material, glass beads reduce shrinkage during the drying of coating layers and improve their smoothness, flow and wetting properties.Glass beads also have decorative value.
